The entire area is optimal for fishermen from all over to visit and take in the tranquil surroundings, all year round. Red Cedar Lake is especially popular due to its history. Both the lake and larger surrounding area provide beautiful views 365 days of the year; anglers can relish the peace and quiet while doing what they love.

With a perimeter of almost 133 kilometers, the lake is over 5900 acres of pristine waters — perfect for your next fishing spot.

It doesn’t matter what season you like to fish in; there’s good angling to be had all three seasons, spring, summer and fall.. Summers are particularly warm, with the mercury routinely reaching over 30 degrees Celsius. Hit the summer waters and soak in all that Mother Nature has to offer.

The high season for fishing Red Cedar Lake, however, is summer, specifically between May and August. This is when the most fishing tournaments and derbies are held (July-August). Timing your next expedition to species availability is also important. When you’re in the area, you can expect to spot yellow perch, lake trout, whitefish, northern pike, walleye, smallmouth bass and more.
