The high season for fishing Red Cedar Lake, however, is summer,
specifically between May and August. This is when the most fishing
tournaments and derbies are held (July-August). Timing your next
expedition to species availability is also important. When you’re
in the area, you can expect to spot yellow perch, lake trout,
whitefish, northern pike, walleye, smallmouth bass and more.
